Spartan Spotlight
May 2023
Greetings Spartan Families,
The month of May is upon us and that signals that the end of the school year is near. As families begin to think about graduation and summer vacation plans I would urge all parents/guardians to continue pushing their students to “finish strong”. Please remember that each teacher is available twice per week during Spartan Period (8:05 – 8:40 am) for extra help and academic support. Also, please don’t hesitate to connect with your student’s teacher(s) should you have questions.
Graduation is scheduled for Sunday, June 4th at 3:00 pm at the FARGODOME. The event will also be streamed on YouTube for those who may not be able to attend.
Graduation rehearsal for all seniors will be held on Friday, June 2nd at 10:00 am at the FARGODOME. All seniors are required to attend the rehearsal. Please make arrangements for your student to be there.
Additional graduation information will be forthcoming to all Senior students, parents and guardians.
Also, quickly approaching on the calendar is our annual Academic Breakfast which gives us a chance to celebrate and recognize our students who have achieved a high level of academic excellence. This event is scheduled for Friday, May 19th at 7:30 am in the Spartandome. Parents/Guardians of qualifying students will receive an invitation to the event.
As we wrap up the year, I would like to recognize the four faculty members who will be retiring at the conclusion of the year. They are Craig Erickson, Business and Marketing Teacher, Richard Fisher, Social Studies Teacher, David Volk, Latin Teacher, and Della Nystrom, Bookkeeper. Their commitment to our students and our school has been nothing short of amazing.
Finally, I want to extend a very sincere “Thank You” to the Fargo North High School community. This truly is a special place to live and raise a family. It has been an amazing year of academic and activity performances worthy of celebration. I am continually humbled by the opportunity to serve our families and work alongside such a talented and committed staff. We have an amazing school and I am so very proud to be a Spartan!
Sincerely,
Travis Christensen
Principal
Congratulations to our Retiring Staff
