Wilt or Grow
There is no such thing as status quo.
You either wilt or grow.
Read and grow from the information below.
Teacher Action Item
We know that teachers collaborating around student needs leads to greater levels of academic success. Watch the video below to learn how one school engages in a collaborative RtI model to ensure all students receive the instruction they need. Our school's RtI PLCs will commence this six weeks.
YouTube:
Response to Intervention: Collaborating to Target Instruction
SEL Action Item (Second Six Weeks - Week 1)
SEL Activity: Appreciating Diversity-What I like about my neighbor
Students take turns sharing things they like or appreciate about a classmate.
YouTube video:
Identify the emotion
Video Activity: As your students watch the video, pause after each emotion is identified and allow your students to share ways they can make someone who is experiencing that emotion feel better. Write the responses on chart paper and post in the classroom for future reference.
