WINTER IS COMING
The first official day of winter is December 21 (the Winter Solstice), which is a few weeks away. However, with temperatures dropping, the snow flurries in the air yesterday, and the first rumblings by students about snow days, certainly means that winter is here for the high school.
THE 2ND MARKING PERIOD
EARLY DISMISSAL
ECAT STUDENT ADJUSTMENT
As a reminder, AM ECAT students are required to arrive at HHHS prior to 11:20 am. Those students are expected to be in 3C HATS on time. Students attending PM ECAT are required to remain in the building until 10:45 am, which is the end of 3A HATS.
** Beginning on Monday, 12/6, AM Tech students will be required to sign out when they are leaving the building, and PM Tech students will be required to sign in when they arrive from EASTERN. This will assist ECAT and the HHHS to collaborate on student attendance more effectively. Sign-in sheets will be posted at the attendance window in the main lobby.
Special ½ day schedule next week:
- December 9th & 10th – district transportation will be provided for all ECAT students.
- AM Tech – required to attend tech; will be excused from 4th & 5th periods at HH; if utilizing district transportation, students will return to HH at 11:00 am and take their normal bus home.
- PM Tech – required to attend tech; if utilizing district transportation, students will attend Study Hall during 4th & 5th periods at HH and board the bus to ECAT at 11:20 am.
BREAKFAST w/ SANTA - Saturday, Dec. 4th
The annual Breakfast with Santa event sponsored by the HHHS FBLA is back after a year of hiatus. This has always been a great event for young children throughout the district. The event includes food, face painting, holiday bingo, raffles, and of course, Santa. Check out the attached flyer below for details.
*Being mindful of health and safety protocols we have rotating Santas who are fully vaccinated*
FEED-A-FRIEND
Our annual Feed-A-Friend campaign kicks off this weekend. Over the last 17 years, we have helped feed over 1,400 families in the Hatboro and Horsham communities with your help. This weekend (Saturday, December 4th) we will begin collections. We are in need of the following items:
- Monetary donations
- Gift cards to local food stores
- Canned/non-perishable food items
Donations can be dropped off on one of the following collection days: Saturday, December 4th from 10 am-12 pm, or Saturday, December 11th from 10 am-12 pm at the locations listed below:
1)Hatboro-Horsham High School
2)Hatboro Pool
3)Administration Building (Next to Keith Valley Middle School)
Donations can also be dropped off at Hatboro-Horsham High School (Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00-3:00). Gift cards or monetary donations can be mailed to Hatboro-Horsham High School

WINTER SPORTS
The winter sports season is officially underway. Teams have been chosen, practices and scrimmages are underway and we look forward to the start of the 2021-2022 winter sports season and the performance of our student-athletes and coaches. MASKING
It continues to be vitally important that students are masked and masked appropriately during the school day. As you know, there have been increased Covid case counts in parts of Montgomery and Bucks County, which now also coincides with cold and flu season. Please remind your children to remain masked and bring an extra mask as well in case something happens to their primary one.
KEYSTONE EXAMS
Keystone Exams are a graduation requirement for students in the Class of 2023, Class of 2024, and the Class of 2025. While is there is a very small population of students taking Algebra I Keystone Exams next week (December 9), the largest Keystone Exam administration for high school students will take place in January 2022. Students will be taking English Literature and Biology over a four-day window.
January 4 & 5 - English Literature (students in English 10 at the academic, college prep, and honors levels)
January 11 & 12 - Biology (students in Biology at the academic, college prep, and honors levels).
