Robert Hunter Report
Nov. 7, 2021
Nov. 7, 2021
Dear Robert Hunter families,
Even though it was short, we had a great week! We had a wonderful whole school assembly this past Monday led by some of our third graders. This assembly focused on the book Change Sings by Amanda Gorman. We read this book aloud to the whole school and then during the assembly, students discussed how they can have a positive impact on their community by helping others and demonstrating caring and empathy. Students will be meeting with buddy classes to further discuss these ideas and how they can be a leader in making the world a better place.
We hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Now that colder weather is upon us, please be sure that your child is dressed for the weather - it’s time for those winter jackets! Please be prepared for students to go outside for recess each and every day. Our cafeteria aides, along with our school nurse, will determine how long students will stay outside for recess, depending on weather conditions.
Conferences will be held Nov. 30, Dec.1, Dec. 2, and Dec. 3. If you have not already signed up for a conference time with your child’s teacher(s), please reach out to them for available times. Support/ESL teachers will be joining conferences. If you would like to schedule a conference with a Related Arts teacher, please reach out to them directly to schedule a time. Please let your child’s teacher(s) know if you would like a translator to be present, and if you would prefer a virtual or in-person conference.
Our Book Fair is being run at the school Nov. 8-11. Students will be attending during the school day with their class and can purchase books. Please see the flyer HERE with more information about the book fair including how to set up an e-wallet account. Thank you to the PTO for organizing this event!
