Superintendent's Message
It's hard to believe the school year is coming to an end. The resiliency of our students, families and staff is simply Amazing! I recognize it is the combined support of families and staff working together that allows our students to reach their greatest potential. We appreciate everyone's efforts.
We are excited about the transformation at Hogan. We are the "New Hogan".

Meet & Greet
Hogan Virtual Academy
I would like to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Valorie Montgomery and I will be your new Virtual School Administrator. I have been at Hogan since 2012. I started as a High School teacher, then served as a Library Media Specialist, then as an Instructional Coach, and most recently as the Coordinator of Assessment, Data, and Integrated Technology. I have been on maternity leave since just before Winter Break. We welcomed a new baby girl on Christmas Eve into our family.
I am excited to be back and ready to help support each virtual student be successful!

Ram Fam: Please welcome Rebecca Skinner, our new high school Principal.
Mrs. Skinner is an Indiana native who made her way to the Kansas City area by receiving a full track and field scholarship to the University of Kansas. While at KU she studied Music Education and earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. After graduating, she served as a Vocal Music Instructor for the Kansas City Kansas Public
School District. During her time as a classroom teacher, she
completed a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Pittsburg State University.
After graduating with her Master’s degree, she became
an Instructional Coach serving on the secondary level.
For the past two years, she has served as an Assistant Principal at Sumner Academy of Arts & Science as well as J.C. Harmon High School.
Mrs. Skinner is passionate about academic excellence and believes that strong relationships are the foundation for quality education. She is a servant and transformational leader who believes in leading with grace and accountability. And desires that school be a place where all will be seen, heard, valued, and respected, as well as a place where all can THRIVE!

Family Advocacy Coalition
Jazmine Salach, Chief of Student Services, hosts monthly meetings of the Family Advocacy Coalition (FAC). This group will help to connect us to the needs of students and the community as a whole. FAC will plan events, webinars, and alternative approaches to supporting our students. The next meeting is May 10, 2022. The Zoom link is:

Hogan Seniors Prepare for Graduation!
Laptop & Hotspot Return
As the school year comes to a close, we want to provide information to you about the return of your student’s laptop and/or hotspot.
High school students will return laptops and/or hotspots on May 24th and May 25th. Deposits will be refunded on June 6th or June 7th.
Virtual students will return their laptops and/or hotspots on June 6th or June 7th.
The location to return laptops and hotspots and receive deposit refunds will be Hogan Middle School, 6409 Agnes.
Dates and hours of operation are:
June 6, 2022 9am-2pm
June 7, 2022 3pm-8pm
Please note to be eligible for a refund of 100% of the deposit paid, laptops must be returned in good and working condition with the appropriate charger for the device. Laptops must meet the following criteria:
Able to turn off/on
Screens not damaged
Keyboards in working order with all keys attached.
Laptop charger in working condition.
Hotspots must be returned in working condition to receive your $40 refund.
If issued laptops and hotspots are not returned, student records and transcripts will be withheld.

Harris Park is giving children golf lessons. Come sign your children up for golf April 13th thru May 25th. Also, they are offering Yoga classes for parents. The cost is $25 to enroll in class.
