After School Care
Carline Guideline
It is expected that unless prior arrangements are made, all children will be picked up at the end of the school day through the carline.
In carline, children will be brought to your car by a staff member. If children are unable to buckle themselves into the seat properly, we ask that you pull over in the upper(north) end of the parking lot to assist them.
Each family will receive a name card to display during pick up.
If you are unable to wait in the car line due to a doctor’s appointment, rare urgent need, or a medical issue, please park near the Garden of Praise (dirt – north end of parking lot) and walk to the north gym door. At the door, a teacher will greet you and ask for your child(ren)’s name. We ask that you wait outside the gym. The child(ren) will be brought to you. Please utilize this option only when absolutely necessary.
Car-line Etiquette
Cell phones should not be used while the carline is in motion – children/staff are out and loading.
All parents should stay in their vehicles. Please do not wait for your child to come out of the building or to speak with a teacher at/on the red benches.
If the need arises to talk to the teacher, please wait until your child(ren) are in the car and then proceed to a parking spot north of the gym to have a conversation.
Please do not call students over to your car or grab their attention in any way. They will be trained to wait at a designated spot and asked to listen for their family name. We ask you to remind them to wait for an adult to walk them to the car. No child should walk or dart out to their car unattended.
When you drop off and/or pick up, give your child words of love and encouragement!
If a new person is picking up, please let your child’s teacher and/or the office know ahead of pick-up. Please let the new pick-up person know that IDs may be checked the first time.
If there is a last-minute change of family plans and your child will not be in carline or a different person is picking up, please let the school office know. Teachers are not usually able to check email/texts at the end of the day.
Renweb & FACTS SIS
RenWeb & FACTS SIS
– Zion utilizes RenWeb & FACTS SIS (a combined company) as our school management system. The program allows for communication between faculty, staff, and parents. It is also used for financial accounts. Here is a quick link to their website. https://logins2.renweb.com/logins/ParentsWeb-Login.aspx . Our district code is ZLS-TX. Please contact the school office if you have any questions in regard to its use.
In previous years, parents were required to provide emergency medical information for their child(ren) to Zion Lutheran School in the case of an emergency by filling out an Emergency Medical Information Form. All this information is now available to Zion Lutheran School through Renweb. Instead of asking you to fill out a form for your child(ren) again, we are asking you to access your Renweb & FACTS SIS account to verify that all your family profile information is current and up to date. This will assist Zion Staff in contacting you for all communications and if there is a medical emergency involving your child(ren) on or off campus. This information is located in the family demographics portion of your Renweb account. Log onto your Renweb account, click on the “family” tab, then click “family home”, click “Family Demographic Form” and then click through the different tabs. You can review from there and change any information that needs to be updated.
Special Dress Days
Please see the Special Dress Days calendar. We will send reminders out via email. Students who do not participate in the Special Dress Day theme should plan to wear uniforms.

Whether you are mourning or celebrating the end of summer, please join us for breakfast and fellowship after morning drop-off in the lobby of the Worship Center. If your schedule allows, you are welcome to stay for the chapel service immediately following.
We will also be having another Back-To-School Parent Happy Hour this year. Find a sitter and come have some fun with us at Berry Creek Country Club (30500 Berry Creek Drive, Georgetown, TX, 78628) on Sunday, August 21st, from 4-6 PM. PTL will be providing appetizers. A cash bar will be available.
