National Association for Down Syndrome
Down Syndrome cannot be fully cured - yet. Scientists are working on a way to find a cure, but until then, there are several treatments that can help dull down the effects of Down Syndrome. Starting physical therapy at a young age can help strengthen the child's muscles. Also, getting regular medical treatment for the health problems connected with Down Syndrome is very important.
Down Syndrome greatly impacts a person's social life because they do not develop as fast as the other people the same age as them. Also, they have a hard time getting around because of issues caused by Down Syndrome, so it is harder for them to keep up with everyone else. Down Syndrome also affects someone's moral issues because their brains take longer to develop and it takes them longer to understand things.
