Jo's Sport Talk
Due to the upcoming school production, both the middle and senior syndicates have completed their Athletics Championships earlier this year. Both events were ka rawe! It is always exciting to watch our tamariki perform the athletics skills they have been practising in the PE rotations during term 3. A highlight for me is always the high jump, and we witnessed some exceptional jumping this year, in particular, the year 4 boys who reached a whopping 1.07m.
Ka pai to our overall champions on the day:

Year 5 Boys: 1st Samuel Hardman, 2nd Oliver Preston and 3rd Elliot Deckers
Year 6 Girls: 1st Emmanuella De Souza Tavares, 2nd Tessa Baxter and 3rd Molly Hyett

All our winter sports teams have now completed their seasons, therefore a friendly reminder that all gear bags and sports uniforms must be returned to the school office by tomorrow, Friday 30th September.
I would like to thank all the parents and whānau for the effort they have generously given to make sure that our budding sports stars could participate and enjoy the winter sport season.
Wai marie to our Year 5 & 6 netball team, TPS Piwakawaka, who won their division at the netball finals on Saturday. Check out the photo below of the successful team with their gigantic trophy which can be viewed in the school office.
