Volunteers Needed

Duties: Interact with customers. As customers select cookies, with gloved hands, you will place the cookies into containers. As trays empty, consolidate cookies on trays.

Duties: Provide one-on-one help to young children (toddler to age 8) to complete their Christmas shopping. Learn from parents how much money children have available to spend and who they need to shop for (parents, siblings, teachers, etc.). Walk around the second floor and help them to select gifts. Young children will need help understanding which gifts are affordable and within their budget. Bring them through every station before returning young children to their parents.

Duties: Help older children to complete their Christmas shopping. Make suggestions on what would be appropriate gifts based on how much the children have to spend. Rearrange merchandise on tables as items are purchased to make the displays appealing. If items for sale are behind the table, fill in gaps with that merchandise as needed.

Duties: Explain to parents how everything works at the Kids Holiday Market. Pair up young children with a Personal Shopping Assistant.

Duties: Transport boxes of gifts as purchased by kids on the 2nd floor to the 1st floor Littlejohn Conference Room where those gifts will be wrapped.

Duties: Ask the child who a selected gift is intended for. Write that name onto a gift tag and attach the tag to the merchandise. Place all gifts into a box to be transported to the 1st floor to be gift wrapped.

Duties: Wash cookie trays, containers and other items as needed.

Duties: Dry cookie trays, containers and other items as needed. Stack them neatly when dry.

Duties: Distribute purchased and wrapped gifts to their buyers as the customers walk out. Ensure that the customers receive all the gifts purchased.

Duties: Locate and remove price tags from each piece of merchandise. Place tag onto a piece of paper which will be sent to the cashier.
