Tejeda News
Week of March 23rd
Dear Tejeda Timberwolves,
It has been wonderful to see how our students have participated in Tejeda's Virtual Spirit Week on Facebook! Thank you for encouraging them to find strength in community even while practicing social distancing. I would be remiss if I did not mention how grateful I am for the Tejeda Faculty and Staff who are working very hard to prepare lessons for our students. These amazing professionals have been dedicated to designing meaningful lessons to provide a continuity of education for all of our T-wolves. Since the situation is so precarious with the community’s health, we have prepared an abundance of learning materials for your children to complete that cover the district’s expectations. By next week, all of Tejeda’s teacher websites will have specific guidance on a timeframe of completing these lessons. The district’s curriculum and instruction department has worked on an abbreviated scope and sequence for the core subjects. Each core area uses a document called the Year At A Glance (YAG). You can access this information using the following link https://www.neisd.net/onlinelearning. Additionally, other resources used by teachers can be found on the district’s Launchpad which students are familiar with accessing, Kahn Academy, Scholastic.com and virtual field trips through Discovery Education.

You can help by increasing our collective voice and joining Tejeda PTA for only $6.50. Tejeda PTA is 50 members, yes only 50 members, away from our membership goal for the 2019-20 school year. To make joining Tejeda PTA even easier, we are now accepting online memberships, payable via PayPal or a credit/debit card with no additional fee to you. This added convenience will make it even easier to join Tejeda PTA and back the future of all T-Wolves!!

Why join PTA? We encourage all family members to join and help increase our collective voice for all Tejeda students. Students are highly encouraged to join Tejeda PTA and become a voice in your own education. Joining PTA does not necessarily mean you have to volunteer. You are giving your voice to be heard that you care for and support all Tejeda students!! We would like to have one PTA member for all 1100+ students at Tejeda. For only $6.50 each, Tejeda PTA members back the future of our T-Wolves by advocating for the educational, emotional, physical, and mental well-being of all students.
