A Message from our CLO, Mr. Marker

November has arrived and here at Freedom we have a lot to be thankful for. The Quest Educational Foundation has given us the support to truly create a high school homeschool support program targeting our amazing Eagles’ talents with a driven focus on career success and financial literacy. This support continues with our STEAM lab now including drones, robots, coding, 3D printing, and more. The Eagles Nest has a new slate pool table; a fun reward for our clients who earn it! Our Eagles are exceeding our expectations of patriotism, hard work, respect, and kindness. VIPs who visit share how impressive our clients are with these character habits. Freedom is also now an approved Florida tax credit PEP and Unique scholarship program. In addition, we are an Accuplacer approved test site for college readiness assessment. It is good to be at The Freedom Institute.

A Message from our Director, Dr. Poteet

We are excited to share that The Freedom Institute is gaining popularity within the community. Our client base has grown to 33, which is a significant milestone for us. We are thrilled to continue helping our Eagles achieve their career goals. This month, we are encouraging many of our Eagles to enroll in dual programs that offer both high school and college credits simultaneously. We would also like to take this opportunity to highlight a few of our clients who have secured internships - Dylan, Xavier, and Thomas – Find more information about the start of their internships below. We are very proud of their achievement. Lastly, we invite everyone to join us for dinner and a hockey game this Saturday. We look forward to seeing you there!

A Message from Our Senior Success Coach, Mrs. Vaill

What a great month it has been with curriculum! For career, our mock interviews are still in full swing, and we love providing feedback for students on their interview skills and resumes. In consumerism, we continue to grow our financial literacy knowledge and our students are ready to be financially savvy now and continuing throughout their life! For ELA, we completed our first novel study and literature circle groups for George Orwell's classic 1984. We engaged in thoughtful conversations, debates, and final assessments. We will vote on our next novel soon for semester 2! It is a pleasure to watch our students learn and grow daily.

A Message from Our Success Coach, Ms. Garafola

In civics, our Eagles spent time supporting our troops by writing them letters . These letters will be sent overseas to the troops on active duty for the war in Israel. We continue to work through our Hillsdale curriculum as well.

In geometry, we started working through the foundational skills of proofs. We will build to writing proofs in the weeks to come.

In algebra, we are working on writing and solving algebraic expressions. Both in story problems and basic equations.
