THE LION'S ROAR!
May 6, 2022
A Message from one of our Lion Trainers!
Dear Families,
Greetings!
Thank you so much for your support thus far with our annual Booster-A-Thon Fun Run organized by our PTO! For years, we worked to raise enough money for a new playground for our students, and now that construction is underway we plan for the new playground to be installed this summer!
Our next adventure is to raise money for a new preschool playground for the fenced area outside of the preschool classroom. Thanks to the hard work of our PTO, the students and all of the parents, this goal could become a reality!
All students at Norris will run in the Fun Run on Friday, May 13th, regardless of donations. This is such a fun activity for all and a great way for the students to get exercise, while working toward a common goal.
Your child's classes have classroom level incentives for donations. In addition, we are implementing some building wide incentives!
- The grade level that raises the most money gets to "silly string" Mrs. Ballard!
- If we raise $7000, all of the students will get popsicles at the Fun Run/Field Day!
- $10,000 - popcorn and a movie!
- $15,000 - ice cream treats for all of the students!
- $30,000 - Mystery celebration to be announced soon!
Please consider volunteering for this event!
Watch your email early next week for further details for our volunteers.
Happy Mother's Day to all of the Norris Moms! Have a wonderful weekend with your families!
Mrs. Ballard, Principal

FUN RUN INFORMATION
Our classes are having a BLAST preparing for the Norris Fun Run coming up soon! We've also begun learning how to choose to live with character every day through Booster's brand new character theme, Sports City Worldwide, and our students will learn five 21st-century character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world. Make sure to ask your students what they've learned each day, and together you can watch the story unfold!
Remember, we need your help connecting to sponsors who can make a donation to help our school! The more donations we get, the more incentives each class can earn on their Donation-O-Meter. Here's how your family can make a big difference.
- 1. REGISTER your student(s) on mybooster.com today. It takes 30 seconds!
- 2. SHARE with your family/friends using the SHARE tools on mybooster.com. (Facebook, text message, or email)
- 3. GIVE a donation if you are able to.
