Bobcat Bulletin
November 30, 2015
Dear FSS Bobcats,
We have 2 surveys I would like you to take. One is for the Leadership Teams planning purpose and the other survey is to provide the district feedback. I will email them both to you this week. Please take a minute to reflect and give input. The district survey is one you will want to encourage your parents to take as well.
Please prepare for our Awards Ceremonies this Friday. We will host them in the lunch area. Chairs will be set up for students. Parents will sit at the tables. PTA will decorate a bit. I will welcome and open the ceremonies then pass the microphone off to your student leaders.
Lastly, a reminder to send home your December Newsletter. The school one will go home on Wednesday. Think of them as a snapshot of the months instructional focus areas and activities as well as a chance to write a nice note to families.
Fondly,
Stephenie

Instructional Focus
-We are a community of educators and learners that are accountable for student learning.
-We will focus learning around improving the students overall school performance.
We will set norms for our meetings to be as efficient as possible.
-We will set an agenda and keep minutes of our meetings to keep us focused.
During our meetings we will ask and answer:
-What is it we expect them to learn?
-How will we know when they have learned it? (We will know if they learned the new concept through application and evaluation.)
-How will we respond when they don’t learn? (We will respond by rethinking, revising, and revisiting interventions )
-How will we respond when they already know it? (We will create and explore other options to continue their educational progress.)
Habit Focus 4
Great time to:
-Host Family meetings 10 min a day
-Growth Mindset and the yet concept
-Review and set goals
-Send Leadership Notebook home for parents to see
and
-what win-win is!
