Girls on The Run is the only program of its kind; it is our research-based curriculum and nationally recognized coach training program that sets us apart from other programs. We focus on the important connection between mind and body. Our combination of targeted lessons and physical activity instills confidence and nurture care and compassion in every girl. The program’s intentional curriculum places an emphasis on developing competence, confidence, connection, character, caring and contribution in young girls through lessons that incorporate running and other physical activities. Results show our program inspires and empowers girls to build healthy physical and mental habits that last long beyond the program. Girls on the Run participants were significantly more likely than girls in organized sports to learn and use life skills such as managing emotions, resolving conflict, helping others and making intentional decisions.
Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30pm - 4pm. 1st practice was 09/06/2022 and last practice is 11/15/2022. NO SCHOOL = NO GOTR. Girls will stay after school on those days and need to be picked up in front of the building at 4pm.
The roster is full this season with 15 girls, but keep an eye out if you're interested in next season!
During the month of September we will focus on the part of our mission statement that talks about “respect”.
This is basically treating others the way you want to be treated.
What does this look like at home?
