Gingerbread Christmas Festival
at George Walton Academy
RSVP is not required but helps us with our planning!
Drop In and Kick Off the Christmas Season
Visit our cafeteria to write letters to Santa, mix up a batch of reindeer food, have your face painted, decorate a cookie, or paint an ornament. A special display will illustrate how Christmas is celebrated in other counties. Hear about the meaning of Christmas through the telling of the candy cane story. Our fine arts department will exhibit work for your enjoyment. The Dawg Shop will be open for anyone needing apparel.
The event starts at 4 p.m. with Santa riding in with his escort of elves at 4:30 p.m.
Thank you Stacy McCullers with Malcom & Malcom Realty for sponsoring Santa!
Join Us For Reindeer Games
Stop by our lower school building for fun games! From spinning the wheel to win candy and goodies to an antler toss, there is something fun for everyone!
Christmas By The Numbers
Thirty-three Christmas trees, 19 gingerbread houses and nine buildings decorated - each with it's own theme! Our front office will be serving hot cider to sip on while you admire all the sights and sounds of Christmas!
Click here for a list of all activities, the Gingerbread Contest entries, and list of each decorated building that will be open for you to tour. If you are a visitor and not sure where to go, sign up for our Deck the Halls tour and have your own special guide take you around campus!
Forecast Calls For Cold Weather, But We'll Keep You Warm!
Kona Ice will be selling hot chocolate and we will have complimentary s'mores around the campfire! Mix and mingle with some Christmas jingles provided by Big Mike from Blue Ice Events!
Bring a Friend
Bring a friend to join in the fun! Invite a neighbor or bring your grandparents with you to enjoy all the festive decor! We are collecting canned goods for the Walton County Empty Stocking Fund. If you wish to help those in our community who need a little extra help finding Christmas joy during this season, drop a can (or two) in one of the collection bins on campus.
