Principal's Message: Jr. High Online Learning
I hope that all of your family is safe and doing well. This is a short communication intended to hopefully answer a few questions that you may have regarding the recent announcement that Junior High students in our zone (St. Albert) will be transitioning to online learning as of Monday, May 3, 2021 respectively. This is expected to continue until May 17th, or upon further direction from the province.
Please note that this transition does NOT impact Grades K - 6 students at SAA. ALL OTHER STUDENTS in ELEMENTARY classes, from Grades K - 6, have regular in person classes. This communication and transition to online learning is taking place in our Junior High school at SAA.
As you may have read in the GSACRD Superintendent's update dated April 30, 2021:

RE: Transition to Online Learning for Students in Grades 7-12 Attending in St. Albert
Dear Parent/Guardians and Staff:
Late this afternoon, Alberta Health Services confirmed that the community of St. Albert met the threshold for additional “Targeted Restrictions”, which are applied to municipalities or regions where there are at least 350 active cases per 100,000 and at least 250 total active cases.
As a result, all grades 7-12 students attending in St. Albert will now transition to online/at-home learning for the next two weeks. This will apply to the grade 7-12 students at the following schools:
Richard S. Fowler Catholic Junior High School

As such, students in Junior High at Sister Alphonse Academy will start online learning as of Monday, May 3rd, 2021. They are not to arrive in the school for classes, this is a transition day. Please see the information below:
Monday, May 3rd, 2021: Transition day: Teachers will be contacting students to share their learning plans for the week and students will have the opportunity to pick up their learning materials from school.
