State travel guidance over spring break
Our top priority remains the health and safety of our students, staff and community. So our students can continue with in-person learning after spring break, we respectfully ask that families who travel out of state follow current travel guidelines and self-report to their school any restrictions.
Here are some helpful health and safety travel tips from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Before your family travels, think about:
-
● How much COVID-19 is spreading where you are going and how much it is spreading in your local community. MDH and CDC continue to discourage out-of-state and international travel.
-
● Whether you or someone you are traveling with could get very sick from COVID-19.
-
● How easy or difficult it will be to keep 6 feet between people.
-
● Whether you would be able to miss school, work or other activities if you get sick.
-
● If you are sick or have tested positive for COVID-19, do not travel.
If you do travel out-of-state for spring break, the following is recommended upon return:
● Follow COVID-19 prevention measures including maintaining 6 feet of physical distance from others whenever possible, masking consistently, staying home when sick, seeking testing and quarantining as appropriate.
For COVID-19 travel-related questions, please contact MDH at 651-201-5414. Visit CDC: Travel for more information about traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic
