Message for the Volunteers
Thank you Lafayette Competition Volunteers! We look forward our second competition and we could not do it without all of you. Please be on the lookout for an email from the Off Campus Team (pshbandtravel@gmail.com ) that will provide you with information about the responsibilities for the day.

Calling all Dads!!! A Special Booster Blurb
A special message from the Band Boosters
Calling all Dads! We need help loading and unloading the trucks this weekend. Where we really need to help is loading at school after rehearsal, loading it all back up at the competition, and then unloading back at school. Here's the current forecasted schedule for equipment moves:
- 11:00 am - Load trucks at school
- 12:30 pm – unload trucks at Lafayette
- 8:00 - 10:00 pm* – load trucks at Lafayette
- 10:15 pm* – unload trucks at school
* Approximate – updates will be communicated via Facebook and Twitter posts if times change
Thankfully, we many of the moms available throughout the day and they offer a ton of help with the equipment; however, getting help from a few more dads will help tremendously with the heavier equipment.
Uniform Reminders
Recently, there has been a spike of concerns with how the uniforms have been worn, used and returned. Please take a moment to review these reminders and identify any areas needing to be addressed.
When putting on your uniform, don't forget these items:
- moisture wicking white shirt
- long black socks
- marching shoes
- gloves
- percussion bands
- deodorant
- hair supplies, if needed
- Students must wear a white moisture wicking t-shirt under their uniform.
- If you wish to wear shorts under your uniform (encouraged), they must be athletic shorts that are not loose or baggy.
- It is your responsibility to get your hair in a pony or bun on TOP of your head before getting dressed. Please be prepared!
- There is no eating or drinking in uniform. Water ONLY.
- When hanging them up…it is YOUR responsibility to make sure that they are hung correctly.
- Students need to have a backpack or such for their change of clothes and shoes. Their clothes to change into/out of and shoes (band or other), should not be in their uniform bag.
Kelly Sports FULL band pictures - Thurs, Oct 5 at 3pm.
Attention Senior Parents! Senior Night is Friday October 6th!
We will gather outside the Band Room (weather permitting) for pictures around 5:30 and head to the field to be announced with your student about 6:20 pm. More information will follow but please mark your calendars.
Water Bottles are Still Needed
Water Bottle Donations are needed. We went through a lot of water at Edwardsville and this weekend is shaping up to be a hot day.
- Thank you for everyone that have donated the smaller water bottles, we have enough for the rest of the competitions
- We are in need of more the regular sided water bottles.
- If you haven't donated, please do. If you are feeling generous and want to donate another case, please do.
Spirt Wear - Last Chance to Order Spirit Wear
Due to a delay in some of the information, our initial spirit wear order had a really short turn around time. Therefore, we will be placing a second spirit wear order on September 27th. Please be sure to turn in forms by the end of practice that evening.
Contact Stephanie Boone at Stephanie_boone72@yahoo.com if you have questions.
