APRIL NEWS 2018

BAYVILLE SCHOOL

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

As the warmer weather quickly approaches, children’s attire becomes a topic of discussion. Warm weather clothing should be appropriate according to the district’s dress code as noted in the school calendar. Opened toed shoes, such as sandals, high heels, flip flops or platform sneakers are unsafe on the playground. Tie or velcro sneakers are preferred. Shirts with bare midriffs are not permitted. Short skirts or shorts may not be shorter than the fingertip length of the student while standing upright. It is necessary for all students to dress appropriately to promote safety and order during the school day. Please help us keep your child safe and properly attired in school this spring.

This is a good time for parents and guardians of walkers to review safety rules with your children. Please be sure your child knows what to do in the event you are not home and also who they may be allowed to accept a ride from on their way home from school. The safety of all Bayville School students remains a priority

Big picture

EARLY PICKUPS FOR STUDENTS

Kindly refrain from picking up your student(s) early from school unless absolutely necessary. Students are not permitted to wait for you in the Main Office for pick-ups. Calling the classroom early not only disrupts the teacher but also the entire class. The end of the day is crucial time for teachers to discuss homework and the next day’s activities. So please try to keep early pick-ups at a minimum or for emergencies only.

If you must pick up your student early, kindly send a note in with your student or phone the main office
