Our RO Team is really looking forward to welcoming families back into our school for our annual "Get Acquainted Nights." This is a chance for parents or caregivers to see our classrooms and meet the teacher(s) that will be supporting your child's progress all year. Each evening begins at 6:30pm, in your child's classroom, on the following date:

Grade 3 - Thursday, September 8 (Parents AND third graders invited to this event. This is more of an 'open house style' with the intent of better orientating our newest students and their families to our school).

Grade 4 - Wednesday, September 7 (Parents/Guardians Only)

Grade 5 - Wednesday, September 21 (Parents/Guardians Only)

Our school has always relied on fundraising to provide exceptional opportunities to enhance student learning and we need YOUR HELP registering your student(s) and sharing with friends and family.

Our first week at RO is all about engagement in learning, teamwork and building safe and effective routines. Above we have fourth graders engaged in a cooperative STEM activity.

If you are interested in joining the RO School Council, please email Mr. Getchell this week. Our school council is comprised of a balance of parents and staff members, with Mr. Getchell as the chair. Our school council is also looking for a community member (a member without a child at RO) but living or working in Easton. Our school council meets once a month, usually the third Tuesday of the month, at 6:00pm. These meetings are virtual. Our school council advises the principal on school matters and helps develop the goals and action steps of our school improvement plan. We look for members each year.

All RO Community Members are welcome to attend our virtual RO PTA Meeting each month. Our first meeting is Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 7:00pm. We will be reviewing our PTA Budget, discussing the upcoming Boosterthon Event, a proposal to invest in the redesign of our playgrounds, enrichment opportunities for our students and more. Mr. Getchell always provides an update about our school and is always willing to listen to any concerns, ideas or answer questions. ALL are welcome to attend! RO loves having volunteers for events and in classrooms throughout the year. In order to do this, volunteers must have a CORI background check completed. CORI checks are valid for 3 years,

If you have a returning student and are not sure if your CORI has expired, please feel free to call the RO main office.

If you are new to the district or need to submit another CORI form due to expiration, please see the following link: CORI ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM.pdf. It needs to be filled out completely along with a copy of the front of your driver's license and returned via email to jcanty@easton.k12.ma.us or brought to the school department at 50 Oliver Street.

If you need to change your student's transportation, request an early dismissal, report an absence, etc., please use the following email address and cc your student's teacher. roattendance@easton.k12.ma.us

This is the most efficient way to communicate with our entire office team.

As school begins, please remind your student to bring a fully charged Chromebook to school every day. We have a very limited supply of Chromebooks to loan students so if they forget, there is a good chance you will be called to deliver your student's Chromebook to school.

Once you click on the link, you will see various areas of interest. These headings include: Our core beliefs as a school, arrival and dismissal procedures, safety, teaching and learning, communication, school supplies, summer learning, homework, etc. When you click on a heading of interest, you will be presented with a brief video providing information on that topic. These videos are anywhere from 3 - 10 minutes long.

We do not expect you to watch ALL of these videos in one sitting. The intent of this orientation is to provide families with a convenient reference point throughout the year as questions arise. This link is also posted on our website homepage for your convenience.
