Social Media and Your Kids

Video games and apps. Do you like them? How do they make you feel? Does that feeling change the longer you use them? Are you using technology or is technology using you?

Max Stossel will be in Webster on Tuesday, October 4 to talk to parents/guardians and the community about “Social Media and Your Kids”. As a former social media designer of some of the same distracting push notices that he now speaks out about, Max provides a fresh take on tech in the lives of our kids.

So come to the Webster Schroeder auditorium, 875 Ridge Road Webster, on October 4; refreshments at 6:00 p.m.; presentation begins promptly at 7:00 p.m.

This event is brought to you by Webster CSD in partnership with Webster Central PTSA and Webster Health and Education Network: A Drug Free Community Coalition.

Show your Artfam Pride!

Each year the Art Department create a new logo for stickers and buttons to give out as well as make garments that can be purchased. The term ARTFAM came about many years ago, and we feel that it truly represents what we stand for here in the Webster Art Department.

This year's design is inspired by labor union logos that have represented workers around the world for over a hundred years. There is a short history of labor unions below, with some examples of their logos.

We sell each garment for just over cost, and use the profits to buy the materials we give away alongside helping offset costs for our annual year end Art show.

We have tshirts (short and long sleeve), crewneck sweatshirts and aprons available to order. If you would like to purchase any of these, you can visit this link. You can pay via Venmo, PayPal, cash or check. Details are on the Google Form.

We have extended the deadline through Sunday, October 2 at noon!
