Reminder: Emergency Notification Test - Monday!
The EWSD utilizes an automated emergency calling system that is currently intended only for emergencies, such as an unscheduled early release or a school closing.
An annual test of this system is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 19 at 6 p.m. At that time, families/employees will receive a brief message from the system based upon contact information provided to the schools. The system will contact families via email, primary phone numbers, and secondary phone numbers.
If you do not receive a message and you feel you should have, please contact the administrative assistant at your school to confirm that your contact information is correct.

Free Meals for Students Extended Through June
Our free meals aren't only for families in need, and you won't be 'taking away' a meal from someone in need, you will be supporting your community. The program is for any child age 18 and under. You don't need to do anything to receive free meals ... just show up at one of our pickup locations or encourage your student(s) to access breakfast and lunch at school!
If you have any questions, please contact EWSD Senior Child Nutrition Manager Scott Fay (childnutrition@ewsd.org or 857-7333).
Traveling for the Holidays
The Vermont Agency of Education will be providing guidance regarding travel for families and staff for the upcoming holidays by the end of October. We will share this information with each of you at that time. You can view the current cross-state travel information from the state online.
Also, please see the latest update from the Department of Health on COVID-19, which includes information about Halloween, flu shots, case information, and more.
