Conference Information

This year, D303 elementary schools are shifting from conferences focused on progress review to a focus on setting meaningful goals. Teachers will be reviewing student work and student assessment data with your child to determine areas of strengths and areas of improvement. Goals will then be set and ideas to reach those goals will be shared with you at your child’s conferences. The role of the teacher, the student and the guardian in reaching those goals will be discussed. In order for you to prepare for these conferences, please reflect on this school year so far. What has been a success for your child? What has been a challenge? How can you support your child with reaching his or her goals? The conferences will conclude with time for questions.

Conferences will be held Thursday, October 8th from 8:00 am -8:00 pm and Friday, October 9th from 8:00 am -noon. While all conferences will be virtual, parents will sign up using Pick-A-Time. Directions for accessing Pick-A-Time can be found here. Pick-A-Time is now open.

If you are interested in conferencing with a specials teacher, please reach out to them directly via email. You can find their contact information below.

Parent Resource Survey

It is important to us at Ferson Creek that we provide a community of care and support to our families, especially when faced with financial hardship.

The current situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic has caused some families to experience a need related to job loss, medical bills, child care, etc. District 303 has several supports available for families through our schools.

The supports available include: Big Hearts of Fox Valley Holiday Support Program and St. Charles Women's Club.

In order for us to best support those in our community, we are asking you to please fill out the survey found here, even if you choose not to participate in the available supports.

It would be most helpful to us if you could please complete this survey no later than Thursday, October 1st.

Thank you!

Directory Spot

We are preparing this year’s family and staff directory, called DirectorySpot. Even if you were in the directory in the past, families must grant permission and share their information each year, in order to be included in the directory. Whether your child(ren) is in-person or remote, we would love to have your family included!

You will be able to access it from a free app (iPhone or Android) or from the web. Once we have all of the data loaded, you will get an email with instructions on how to download DirectorySpot and set your own password. (The directory is very secure and only families and staff of Ferson Creek Elementary will be granted access. Each user will sign in with their authorized email address and will set their own password. More information on the security features is available on the DirectorySpot website.)
Please provide your family's permission and information here: https://tinyurl.com/FersonDirectory20-21
