STEAM

Many STEAM classes were able to work on some Halloween coding activities the last week of October. The Kindergarteners and Second Graders were able to go trick or treating using Beebots and their Halloween costume they colored. The Third graders were able to create a Halloween Costume in their group. They used these Halloween costumes and our Spheros to trick or treat around the classroom, which even included coding the Sphero to say "trick or treat". We had a blast.

The first graders are making finishing touches to the light they created. Families will be able to pick up their child's light on parent teacher conferences from the STEAM lab. Seesaw messages and letters went home to families from Mrs. Marroquin.

The fourth graders are still working hard on their robot car. We are currently programming the motors.

Music

Kindergarten and 1st are focusing on rhythms layered on top of steady beat. Seconf grade is focusing on meter in Music. Third grade is working on labeling the musical staff and remembering the note names. Fourth grade is exploring the families of instruments.
