"Let Me Be Your Servant"
In honor of this year school’s theme, “Let me be Your Servant,” Holy Name School will be hosting a variety of donation drives throughout the school year. Help make a difference by donating new or gently used books to the Holy Name Book Drive. The drive will run from September 4-14. Donation boxes will be located in the primary, intermediate, and middle school hallways. There will also be a donation box in the church foyer. All donations will go to Riley Children’s Hospital. Thank you for your generosity!
"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under constraint, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

From The Social Worker
From the Desk of the Social Worker:
I am excited to be back at Holy Name School for a wonderful new school year! I am here to assist your children with any problem they might be struggling with. Some examples of things I can help with are grief, anxiety, depression, peer conflicts, as well as separation or divorce related issues.
I will need your permission to see any student in grades Pre-K through 5th, unless there is an emergency, but students in the middle school may self-refer.
I will be at Holy Name on Wednesday this year.
Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to working with you and your children!

Oktoberfest Sign-Ups!
The Holy Name Catholic Church Oktoberfest, scheduled this year for October 5th and 6th, is a fun and family-friendly festival with great live music, delicious authentic homemade German food and desserts, and popular adult beverages. It's one of Holy Name's biggest fundraisers of the year, and because a significant portion of the Parish budget is used to support the school, this fundraiser also directly benefits our students.
The Holy Name Oktoberfest Committee is now seeking volunteers to help make it a success. Please consider donating just a few hours of your time in support of this important fundraiser for Holy Name students, teachers, and parishioners. (Note: While Roncalli students are welcome to volunteer as service hours, our Holy Name kids are not old enough to sign up.) Use the SignUp Genius link below, or call the Parish Office at 317-784-5454. We can't do this without you!

Oktoberfest Spaghetti Dinner
Please join us at the Holy Name Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, August 25 from 5:30 to7:30pm in the school cafeteria/Hartman Hall.
The Spaghetti Dinner is organized by members of the Holy Name Parish's Men's Club, Alter Society, and Oktoberfest Committee, and because of generous donations, dinners are offered at no charge (while supplies last; includes drink and dessert). At the dinner, the Oktoberfest Committee will be selling tee-shirts, 50/50 raffle tickets, and Oktoberfest Big Raffle tickets. There will be a drawing from the Oktoberfest Big Raffle tickets for the winner of the $2,000 Early Bird prize. The Early Bird winner and all Big Raffle tickets purchased are eligible for six other prizes -- including the $20,000 Grand Prize! -- that will be drawn during the Holy Name Oktoberfest on October 5 and 6. Big Raffle tickets are $100 and only 1,000 will be sold.
