Community Events sponsored by Murray County 4-H and Monogram Meats with various community partners
Murray County 4-H received a very generous grant from Monogram Foods to help sponsor Murray County Community Nights. Join us in November for Turkey Bingo on November 19 6:00 -8:00 pm. 4-H will be hosting Bingo and community meal. The goal of Monogram Foods Loves Kids and Murray County 4-H is to teach our youth that Murray County is a great place to be a part of. Our community has a lot to offer. Families attending the community nights do not have to be enrolled in 4-H, however we hope that once they learn more about our program, they will find a home with Murray County 4-H. More information will be sent out to registered 4-H families prior to each event. If you would like to help with any of these events, please contact Kim Hause.

- Are ready for a "next level" experience that might encourage them for future 4-H involvement,
- Have been positively impacted by 4-H and can articulate their story to share with state and national decision-makers,
- With strong presentation skills (not necessarily public speaking, but that is always helpful), and/or
- That are not overcommitted and/or can prioritize active participation in this experience (2-4 hours/month, January-May, not including the DC trip in April)?
This might be a fantastic experience for you!
Jaquie Lonning will host and record an informational webinar next Thursday, November 3, at 8:00pm to review the experience and the application process. The session will be focused on youth applicants, but you're welcome to attend as well (or watch the recording after) if you'd like to learn more. I'm happy to answer questions as well as your region's CEL contact.
Here's a link to the application, with responses due Monday, November 21, at 8:00am.
Don't forget to update your enrollment
I know in the last newsletter and in a few state emails they talked about continuous enrollment which we all took as Yeah I Don't have to do this every year but they meant more about staff being able to help families with challenges re-enroll than actually not touching re-enrollment every year - sorry for the confusion.
Executive Council Position
Sue Schreier has served her 3rd year on this council and on behalf of the entire federation I would like to say thank you to Sue for dedicating your time. This year joining Mary Jans and Kelly Nelson will be Anita Peschges from the Currie Poco-a-Poco Club.
After school Adventures are starting at Fulda and MCC in October
4-Hers will examine how our bodies are like machines, simple and complex and what it takes to keep it moving. Machines and kids need many resources to keep them running smooth. We will explore and engage each area of these resources and help 4-hers confident of making good choices for themselves. Each session will include a healthy snack, games, and a project to dive into learning. As always, reflection at the end where the 4-hers will share with others. After school Adventures will meet in the lunchroom of Fulda elementary school from 3:00 - 5:00 on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and at the 4-H Building in Slayton on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 3:00 - 5:00 pm Sign up at Sign In (4honline.com) under events.
