Elementary ELA Course of Study Sneak Peek, 11:30-12:20, HDB 254
In February of 2017, the State Board of Education adopted updates to Ohio’s Learning Standards for English Language Arts. For the last two years, we’ve had a committee of teachers working to update our English Language Arts curriculum for the 2018-2019 school year. Join us to take a look at this work through an elementary lens. In this session, participants will have an opportunity to hear about this process, see the revisions made to the standards, and learn how to navigate digital resources.

Tech in Title, 1:30-2:20 HDB 136
During this session I will share the steps I have taken towards incorporating technology into small group reading instruction, specifically while using LLI lessons. Many of these ideas and strategies can be used in classroom guided reading groups as well, so all reading teachers are welcome! I will share how my students have made the transition to digital anchor charts and complete reading responses using their iPads.
