Recognitions at franklin academy sunrise campus!

As we end Quarter 1, there is lots to celebrate at Sunrise! We celebrated our staff that opened the school in 2015 and have been with us for more than 5 years. Our Teacher of the Month is Third Grade Math & Science teacher, Ms. Alonso! Our Award of Excellence went to our registrar, Ms. Mato! Congratulations to you both!

Family Fall festival winners!

A HUGE shout out and thank you to all of the amazing families who submitted the incredible pumpkins for the contest. These pumpkins were beautiful!!! This was extremely hard to decide but here goes:

FIRST place- "Colombia" Pumpkin- Noah Giannoni & Family

SECOND place- "Pumpkin Snack"- Saanika Gowda & Family

THIRD place- "Pikachu"- Michael Hohenberger & Family

Honorable Mention- "Dia de los Muertos"- Sophia Gonzalez & Family

Sunrise Scholastic Chess Tournament

On Saturday, October 16th, our Franklin Academy chess team represented us at the “Sunrise Scholastic Chess Tournament” , organized by the “National Scholastic Chess Foundation” and the “Sunrise Center for Excellence in Chess”. This event took place at the Village Multipurpose Center in Sunrise. Many Broward County schools were represented in both categories, Elementary and Middle.

Our scholars Sean Marks, Scarlet Rodriguez, Connor Brown and Patrick Brown won in their respective categories, bringing the Middle School Championship for Franklin Academy!

Congratulations to our scholars, their families and most specially to our chess coaches, Ms. Hernandez and Mr. Nebiu.
