Maintaining Integrity
Integrity
What does integrity mean? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, integrity can be defined a few ways:
- the quality of being honest and fair
- firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values
- the quality or state of being complete or undivided
Academic Integrity at Keystone
Keystone requires that all of the work you submit is your own. Cheating and plagiarism are unacceptable and can have serious consequences.
Keystone keeps all academic integrity violations on file. Some colleges ask high schools to send these records when they are determining a student's acceptance. Having these violations may hinder your chances of getting into the college(s) you want to attend.
What are some other possible consequences?
- Loss of points on assignment
- Zero points for assignment
- Possible meeting with Keystone's Academic Review Committee
- Failure of course
- Removal from Keystone

We all know you have an inner love for science, so come fuel it and share that with us in the way you would like! Give it a try; you might enjoy yourself!" --Science Club Member, Ayah Aboelela
