When I was a kid I remember laying on a blanket and looking into the night sky. Many thoughts would run through my mind while stargazing. What is out there? The meaning of infinity. We are so tiny in this vast universe. As a stargazing adult, I have even deeper questions! In 2023, we can see 13.6 Billion light years away with the James Webb Space Telescope. This is unfathomable as we explore trillions of galaxies.

This week one of my favorite singer, songwriters passed away, David Crosby. The song “Southern Cross” is a mellow and soothing song with a celestial meaning. As we continue to expand the foundations of astronomy and reveal the unseen universe, may we continue to dream, imagine and admire the stars in the southern sky.
