End of Year Note from Principal Andrastek
Highland Park Middle School Families:
It is amazing to believe another school year has come to an end! As my first year as principal of the largest middle school in Saint Paul Public Schools (just short of 800 students!), it continues to be an honor to serve you, the students, and our staff! I want to thank you for your continued support! For those of you moving on to high school or other adventures, it has been my pleasure serving you. For those returning in September, look for a Scots' Scoop to be texted and emailed out to you sometime in August.
As this is the final Scots' Scoop of the school year, I wish all of you a restful and reenergizing summer!
Warm regards,
John Andrastek / "Mr. A."
Thank You!!
HPMS Families & Friends:
Thank you to those of you who contributed gifts for our end-of-year staff piñata party! Your contributions helped purchase prizes for our hard-working & dedicated staff! Thank you for your continued support!

Summer Spark
Saint Paul Public Library (SPPL) Summer Spark runs between June and August each year. The goal of this program is to encourage young people to have fun, stay active, and keep learning all summer long. Families visit neighborhood libraries for giveaway books. Libraries host a variety of drop in performers and ongoing programs.
Additionally, librarians provide specific literacy-based resources like recommended booklists and interactive story strolls to promote summer reading. Students complete a combination of reading and activities to earn prizes. Find details at sppl.org/summer.
