Curriculum Connection

How often does your child read each night? All students in grades K-5 bring home baggie books each night. The books are on their instructional levels. This helps students develop a joy for reading. Reading each night also helps students build stamina. Working with students on building stamina and comprehension is so important. It is equally important to work on written comprehension with your child. Students should practice during the week on answering questions that are specific to their book choice.

It is very important for our students to see us modeling good reading habits as well. Reading to students each night also helps them develop a wonderful love of reading.
