MORNING ARRIVAL UPDATE & SAFETY REQUEST
In an ongoing effort to ensure the security and safety of all staff and students we are sending out the followng two reminders to parents and caregivers:
- Students who arrive after 8:00 are marked as late/tardy and must stop at the office to get a pass and order lunch (if they want hot lunch). Students are encouraged to be in their classrooms by 7:50 each morning and ready to learn!
- We also want to remind you that parents are not to enter the building during school hours (8:00 - 2:50 M, T, Th, F and 8:00 - 1:50 on W) unless it is to pick up or drop off their student. When you drop your student off at the front desk, please let them walk to their classroom by themself.
Thank you for understanding.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Hinesburg Community School Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024 school year is now open! Champlain Valley School District (CVSD) is asking families to register their incoming Kindergarten students earlier this year in an effort to get more accurate enrollment numbers for our schools.
If you have an incoming Kindergarten student, please complete the online forms by February 24, 2023. These enrollment numbers help us to plan our staffing needs for the upcoming school year and help us to coordinate our site visits for placement in the Spring.
Deb Lavalette is our point-person for registration and she is looking forward to hearing from you! You can contact Deb at (802) 482-2106 or dlavalette@cvsdvt.org Natalie Raby, our PreK-4 school counselor, and Suzan Locke (PreK-4 principal) are happy to help with questions; just let us know how we can help you.
We really appreciate your help with registering your child early this year and we’re looking forward to meeting you. This is such an exciting time for you and your child and we are happy to share this experience with you!
BUY YOUR HCS YEARBOOK!
2023 Yearbooks are now on sale! Order online by clicking the button below. You can also pick up a hard copy of the order form in the office.

CVSD STRATEGIC PLANNING - WE WELCOME YOUR INPUT!
The CVSD Strategic Planning committee has drafted some elements of the plan and is seeking input from all community members. That includes parents/caregivers, those without children in our schools, faculty/staff, and students.
Please view this set of slides, which were shared at last week's virtual Town Hall, and then use this form to share your thoughts. These links are also available on the Strategic Planning page of the district's website. Please contribute your input by February 15.
Thank you!
🥾 LOST & FOUND HAS MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION - PLEASE TAKE A LOOK (OR STOP BY) 👕
The HCS Lost and Found has moved to a new, easier to access (for parents) location. The new location is just inside the front/main doors to the school. Please stop by if you are missing any items. We have a wide assortment of found items and we would love to get them back to their rightful owners. Items not claimed by February 24 will be donated.
YOU'RE INVITED!
