Finding the Fun in Food Facts
I taught my younger siblings how to read Nutrition Facts so they can have healthier after school snacks. I explained things like serving size and how it is what all the data is based on. I also told them that they should watch out for words like "trans fats", "sodium", "sugar (high fructose corn syrup)", and "cholesterol". We looked for healthy alternatives for their favorite, yet unhealthy, after school snacks and I still find them eating healthy snacks and reading food labels to this day.
