February newsletter

We are back in the swing of things for 2nd Semester. This is a busy month for our clubs and athletics. Teachers and students are working hard on getting ready for the PSAT and SAT coming up in April.

February 13-17 is National FFA Week

February 20-25 is MVHS FFA Week

This month is also our district Heart Health Month! The district wear Red Day is on Feb. 23rd.

Please remember that we will not have school on Monday, February 20th in observance of President's Day.

Our Building Leadership Team (BLT) is currently working on finalizing the new graduation requirements and talking about how to improve our school. Senior parents, please be on the look out for a Senior Parent Meeting so we can over all of the plans for Graduation in May.

Teachers have been cracking down on phone use within the classroom. Please help us out and talk to your students about following our district policy of no phones in the classroom. We are also having a problem with Vaping in school. We will be installing, on a trial basis a new vape detector inside of the restrooms to see how they work. We are not trying to be punitive with this. We want to provide help to those students who are addicted to nicotine. Please help us out at home and talk to students about the dangers of nicotine use.
