Coronavirus Updates
As you are no doubt aware, the situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) is changing rapidly. Following the Wisconsin Department of Health Service's guidance, we are reviewing each of our upcoming activities and will make a determination for each on a case-by-case basis. Please be aware that as the situation is so fluid, decisions at the last minute on some activities are possible.
In addition, we are now reviewing plans for possible digital learning days for students in grades 7-12. All families at those grade levels should fill out this brief survey about their home Internet access and device access.
Finally, as this is a quickly-evolving situation, please get your information from the following sites:
MASD Summer Adventures Registration Begins Monday!
To learn all about our course offerings and other important details, go to our MASD Summer Adventures webpage.
Also, families who do not have students currently attending MASD but are interested in registering their child for Summer Adventures should complete a new registration (please note, this process must be completed annually for non-MASD families). Completing a registration provides access to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal which will be necessary to register for classes.
Forward Exam and Aspire Testing After Spring Break
When we return from Spring Break, students in Grades 3-10 will participate in our statewide assessments, including Forward Exam for Grades 3-8 and Aspire for Grades 9-10. These tests are important indicators that measure the progress our students are making and the success of our programs.
There are several things parents can do to support a positive and successful testing environment. First, make sure your child is in attendance on scheduled testing days if healthy and that they get a good night’s sleep prior to testing. While a good breakfast is important on all school days, it is particularly critical on testing days. Finally, families should encourage their children to perform their best for all tests.
Parents should contact their child’s school for more specific questions about state assessments.
