Be An Organ Donor!
What Is It?
What Does It Mean?
Organ donation is the process of giving one's organs or tissues to another person whose organs or tissues have been damaged.
How Do You Donate?
Tell your doctor you wish to become an organ donor. All organs can be donated after death, however a kidney is donatable pre-death.
Who Can Donate?
Anyone can be an organ donor! As long as you have no diseases, such as cancer or aids, you are eligible to donate. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.
Why Should You Donate?
Although an average of 74 people receive new organs from organ donors each day, 18 people die each day, waiting for an available organ.
