M-STEP Update
HUGE shout out to the all of the staff members for a successful week! Our 5th graders completed Science Part 1 & 2 and Social Studies Part 1. Next week we will continue testing on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please remind your students to be very quiet in the hallways from 8:30-10:15 daily. The 5th graders greatly appreciate it! Also, be mindful of taking recess outside during this time. It is a distraction to those still testing.
Student Council Fundraiser
Teachers:
Online web pages have been created for each teacher. Please feel free to share in your email, newsletters and social media. As monies are received from students please send to the office as often as needed to make you feel comfortable with the amount of money in your classroom. Ziplock bags with your name will be in your mailbox and returned to you once they are emptied. Encourage students to create their online accounts. Most prizes can only be earned with funds raised online.
When you have a student that has raised $50 send them to me to receive some prizes to help keep the momentum going in your class. I only have enough for one from each class.
Important Dates:
4/15 School-wide Pennies for Patients Kick-off at 1:30 in the MPR. (Approximately 20-30 min.)
4/19-4/21 Flash 48 Any class that raises $250 during this time will receive a Hungry Howie's pizza party.
If you have questions please ask. I'm sure I've forgotten something.
Shahend Vannostrand and Shaura Thomas-Persall are the student council sponsors.
New addition to Signature line
The district has adopted one specific logo to represent the Portrait of a Graduate (the four C's) we would like to have everyone use it in their signature line as it creates uniformity across the district. While it is not mandatory it is a show of uniformity. Below are the instructions on how place the logo in your signature line. I am also sending this as a single email to staff.
Download it to your computer.
Go to settings in your district email account.
Click on create a signature.
Your download should pop up. Click on it and click on size medium.
Don't forget to go all the way to the bottom and click save changes.
