Reminders as we head into winter break!

End of Semester Updates

As we head into the end of the semester, finals are quickly approaching. Students should take these finals seriously as they can have a big impact on their overall grade. Remember Fs = no credits and Ds = not eligible for college. If your child is struggling, have them meet with their counselor.

12/19 - 3rd & 6th period finals

12/20 - 4th & 5th period finals

12/21 - 1st & 2nd period finals

12/21 - Fall semester ends

1/8/18 - Spring semester starts

Registration Spring 2018

Once we return from winter break, counselors will be going into English classes to register students for their classes for the 2018-2019 school year. Students will register online using their AERIES portal and will have a week to make changes. Course forms and course descriptions can be found on the counseling website. Here are the dates for registration and some important parent nights:

  • 1/16-1/21 - Junior Registration Window
  • 1/22-1/28 - 8th Grade Registration Window
  • 1/29-2/4 - Sophomore Registration Window
  • 2/5-2/11 - Freshman Registration Window
  • 2/8/18 - College Night at 6pm
  • 2/22 /18- AP/Honors Night at 6pm

Senior Info

By now college applications should be completed and students should be working on scholarships. PEF Scholarships are available online and are due on 1/24/18. PHS Scholarships are available in the College & Career Center and on Ms. Stoll's website and are due in person on 2/14/18 at 12pm. FAFSA/CA Dream Act is due 3/2/18. For all students that need a transcript for PEF, please visit our registrar, Ms. Stavish, to sign up.

If you have questions on scholarships, contact Ms. Stoll or a counselor, please note Ms. Stoll will be out of the office the week of 12/18.

Impacted Campuses – Deadline Extended to December 15th

Non-impacted Campuses – Deadline may extend beyond December 15th

PSAT Results will be available online the week of 12/11 - students can use these results to study for the SAT. There is free help online through Khan Academy, additionally the Sonoma County Library is offering the following free ACT & SAT Prep:

  • Wednesday, January 3rd & Friday, January 5th from 10:30am-12pm at Rohnert Park-Cotati Library (SAT only) & Central Library (ACT only)
  • Thursday, January 4th & Saturday, January 6th from 10:30am-12pm at Petaluma Regional Library (SAT only)

Space is limited to 25 high school juniors only and students must attend both sessions. Students can pre-register beginning December 9th at the library or online:
