In the LSE PTO know!
DECEMBER 2020
YOU put the "P" in PTO!
Getting involved in your child's education is an experience to remember! Whether it's volunteering at an event, helping at school during the day, or helping with things from home, your time and assistance are what puts the "P" in PTO! Our mission is to support and enrich the experience of our staff & students, but we operate solely on volunteers. Many hands make light work, and we happen to also have a lot of fun doing it! In this day and age of a multitude of commitments, we value any time you can offer in any way that you are able. Your kids will think it's pretty cool too! We hope that you will consider lending a hand to make the 2020-2021 school year amazing!
JOIN US FOR OUR 2020 LSE HOLIDAY EXPRESS!
Who is ready for some holiday cheer? While we aren't permitted to have our usual Santa Breakfast/Secret Shop, we have been busy little elves behind the scenes working to come up with some safe holiday cheer for our amazing families!
MARK YOUR CALENDAR for December 12th, from 9-10am, for an LSE Holiday Express Drive-Through! This is a FREE event to spread some holiday cheer in this crazy time! Jump in the car in your jammies (if you'd like!), head on over to LSE... visit some holiday characters, receive a breakfast treat for each kiddo & take a "Selfie with Santa"... all from the safety of your car! Don't forget your letters to Santa to drop in our special Santa mailbox!
For the safety of all of our families and those helping with the event, we do require that you wear a mask in your car while moving through the drive-through (all in the car, please). All volunteers will follow the same protocol to ensure that we have a safe and FUN experience for all (even Santa!). In order to make this event happen, we must follow state mandates.
In order for us to properly plan, we kindly ask you to RSVP using the link below. While this is a free event, we will be collecting non-perishable food donations for a local food bank to help others in need this holiday season. Sharing the LSE love in the community!
Please note that in order to ensure that we have enough goodies for all, this event is limited to LSE families only. We are SO EXCITED to see you all for this fun event!

Noodles & Co. is just up the road on Queen St and has a menu full of DELICIOUS food! They are graciously donating 25% of sales back to LSE to help support our students... that's amazing!
Please be sure to show the flyer or mention LSE when ordering. Ordering online? Please enter GIVING25 at checkout so that LSE receives credit for your purchase. (Please note that this cannot be combined with other offers and is not valid for delivery)
As always, THANK YOU for your support!
2020-21 LSE SPIRIT SHIRTS HAVE ARRIVED!
We can't WAIT to see all of our LSE friends in their new shirts! They are PERFECT for our Wildcat Wednesdays! :)
ADDITIONAL SPIRIT SHIRTS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE UNTIL 12/10 (LONG-SLEEVE & ADULT VERSIONS AVAILABLE!)
Click the button below to order! The store closes on 12/10 to make sure that we can get your items back in time to pick-up before the holiday break. Remote parents will need to pick up orders at the LSE Office. If your child is in-person and you would like to pick-up your order rather than have it sent home with your child, please be sure to choose that option at checkout.
We will not make a profit on any items purchased from this store - we just wanted to offer these items to you as many have asked about this, and also offer a few inexpensive items for holiday gifting as well!
PRESTO'S FAST ITALIAN CURBSIDE POP-UP ON DECEMBER 17th!
What's better than a delicious HOT meal, with FRESH pasta (homemade by Tuttoni's), a delicious Caesar salad AND garlic bread? Throw in a side of "you don't even have to leave your car because we will hand that hot meal right to you to take home and enjoy" and the answer is NOTHING! The best part (aside from full bellies), is that for every family meal purchased, Presto will donate $5 back to LSE PTO to use to support the students and staff of our school! We have worked with the owners to create this event just for LSE!
Join us on Thursday, December 17th for our Presto Fast Italian Pop-Up at LSE! They have created this pop-up just for us and we are so excited to be able to share it with all of you! All pasta is made in-house at Tuttoni's as they own Presto.
You may select from three delicious options:
- Spaghetti & Meatballs
- Rigatoni Bolognese
- Veggie Pesto
ALL family meals also include a Caesar salad & Garlic Bread!
HERE IS HOW TO ORDER:

You may also send your caps into school (in a bag, please) and we can scan them in for you!
SCHOOL/CLASS DIRECTORY (You must enter your child for her/him to be included!)
Some of you have already registered on the website and signed your child(ren) up for the Class DIrectory... thank you! While we will not be using PTBOard as our information website this year, we will still utilize it for our LSE Classroom Directory!
First, you will need to register on the website. Once you are registered, you can add your student(s) and are able to change/correct your information at any time throughout the year. If you would like your child to be included in this resource, you will need to follow the steps below.
Once you've set up your account, please follow these steps:
1) From the Home Page, click on the tab on the left that says "Student Directory"
2) Click on "My Student"
3) Click on the GREEN "Add a Student" button on the right
4) Select your student's grade and teacher, and add his/her information
5) Click "Show in Directory", save and you're all set!
Once you've added each child, they will show up on the site and you can then download by class, grade or the whole school. If any of your contact information changes at any time, you simply go back into your account on the website and update your information.
Please remember that for privacy issues, all members who join hang out in the "pending" file until we have verified that they are a parent of a student that is registered at LSE. If your file doesn't show up immediately, it's b/c it's in the "pending" file and we will approve it as soon as we've confirmed that you do belong to LSE :) The safety of our families is very important to us.
Additionally, the Directory is optional. Should you choose not to include your students' information, that is totally fine as well! We hope that those who chose to utilize this tool find it an easy way to connect with friends and LSE families!
CLEARANCES
While volunteers are not currently permitted in the buildings, we are hopeful that this will change by the end of the school year. Taking care of this part now will allow you to help with school needs/events as soon as we are given the "green light"!
We very much appreciate all of the parents who have already submitted their clearances. Without parent volunteers, the PTO couldn't do all the great things we do for our school!
