        Congratulations to Heather Williams

        Cobb Middle School’s 2018 Teacher of the Year

        Mrs. Williams teaches 7th grade Integrated Language Arts (ILA) at Cobb Middle School, in addition to Co-Sponsoring the National Junior Honor Society and chairing the campus Diversity Committee. One colleague states, “Mrs. Williams is willing to work beyond contract hours to meet with students, co-workers and the community. Due to Mrs. Williams’s leadership and commitment, Cobb Middle School hosted the largest Multicultural Night in the school’s eight year history. Mrs. Williams will go on to represent Cobb Middle School in FISDs Teacher of the Year competition.

        Wakeland Legacy Line Tryouts - All interested candidates should have attended the mandatory parent/candidate tryout meeting on Thursday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wakeland Cafeteria. Tryouts will be held on Friday, April 27, starting at 4:30 p.m., and the tryout clinic will be held April 23-26 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Dance Room, G103.         8th Grade Parents - If you missed the Rising Freshman Night at Wakeland, you may view the counselors' presentation here.

        Friday, May 4, 2018, 8th grade will be touring AT&T Stadium. We will leave at approximately 9:00 a.m. and return to school by 2:00 p.m. The cost is $15 per person and mypaymentsplus is now accepting payments. Students will need to bring a sack lunch with no glass. Chaperone details will come later but make sure you have a current background check for the current year.         7th Grade Parents - Our annual field trip to the Dallas Zoo is May 18th. If you are interested in being a chaperone, please sign up here. Email Mrs. Van Alstyne or Mrs. Gestes with questions.

        It is time to order your student's pre-packaged school supplies for next year, 2018-2019!

        • Students will pick up pre-ordered school supply packs during grade level Schedule Pickup in August.
        • Be sure to order the correct grade level packet for the 2018-2019 academic year.
        • There will NOT be any EXTRA PACKETS to purchase at schedule pickup, so be sure to order your supplies today!
        • The LAST day to order is June 24th, 2018.
