Wolf Pack 3M
This year in 3m we have been called woof pups. When Mrs. Massara or Mrs. Roussos says ‘wolf pups’ we respond with join the pack! Another one is ‘pack 3m’ we respond with woof-woof. We also treat each other as a pack like a family. We also look out for each other so your friends and you do not get hurt. If you are in a big place stick together!! And that way you don’t get lost! The last thing we do is take care of yourself and others. That’s why we are a wolf pack. Woof woof !!!!! your fellow wolf pack

Reader's Workshop
This year in 3M we have reader’s workshop in the morning. We have independent reading with a special spot and we read everyday. We use reading logs to help us know what page we are on and we know how long we are reading. Our log helps us set goals for ourselves. We do book recommendations for friends. Tucker recommended Aliens for Breakfast because he thought it was funny. Will recommended Chocolate Fever because it was silly and about chocolate. He likes chocolate. We have a lesson and then we go to read and try the strategy in the lesson we did but we do not mess around so we can read as much as we can. 3M loves to read.

Word Study
Scribble, scribe, scribble that is the sound of us doing word study. We also have teams.
For example the blue team, green team, yellow team ,and orange team! We also have partners, for example, Esme & Claire Miya & Keagan! We also have word sorts. For example: closed sort ,open sort, Word hunt,. rhyme time, speed sort to help us with our spelling patterns. In speed sort you try to sort them as fast as you can! That is all for now. And now you know all about word study!

Lenape Indians
This month we learned about the Lenape tribe. We learned that they used all the stuff that nature provided. For example: They use trees as dug out canoes, also they used shells as bowls. And they used clams as cups. Also they use antlers as tools. They use skinny trees to make the frame of their house. They use bark to cover the wigwams. That’s how the Lenape tribe survived!!

P.E.
We have been working on are soccer skills in P.E. We played a game called Sideline Soccer. Mrs. W. called 2 or 3 numbers. We all went to our number spot. She rolled the all in the middle of the court. Reid’s team kicked the ball into the goal. Tyler’s team lost. We also played Clean-Up the Room. It is where the cleaner gets you by kicking the ball out of the court. You have to run around the court one time if your ball gets cleaned out. Then you can come back in. Then we played Tag the Ball. It is kind of like Build the Army but with pool noodles and soccer balls. If you get tagged, you have to be the tagger. It was so fun!

For example, If I had 10 goldfish to share with 2 friends, how many do we each get? Another thing we did was, extra math! Extra Math is ofcourse, an app! On Extra Math, you can race the teacher! Extra Math, helps us learn about our math facts! 3M math is awesome!
