Battle of the Books Results

Congratulations to our 4th grade winners - The Reading Duck Dragons from Ms. Kingsford's Class

Virtual Field Trip

Students in Social Studies 6 took a virtual field trip to the Five Oaks Museum and met with Victoria Sundell, the Five Oaks Museum head of integrated learning. Students were able to learn from the exhibit "This is Kalapuyan Land" and ask questions about the exhibit. Ten pieces of artwork from the exhibit are on display outside Tumwater Middle School on yard signs through the end of the school year. Middle Ages One-Pagers

Students in Social Studies 7 researched a topic of their choice from the Middle Ages and created one-pagers of the information they learned to share in a class book. CLICK HERE

Read Aloud Drawings

Fourth graders drew "Henrietta the Chicken" from our "Unusual Chickens for the Exceptional Poultry Farmer" read aloud.

Science Olympiad Middle School Division B Results

FLEX 7th grader Anika placed 14th on the Science Olympiad MY SO Middle School Engineering STEM Showdown National Leaderboard. Great work, Anika!


MY SO is a new program that complements Science Olympiad's traditional US tournament structure and is available to all middle and high school students who love STEM and want to stay engaged in learning. Learn more here.

In Case You Missed it: Student Chromebook and iPad End of the School Year Plan

Device Drop-off Dates

See below if you need to drop off your device or not.

Drop off dates at Tumwater (Timberland) are:

  • Thursday, June 17th from 4:00-7:00pm
  • Friday, June 18th from 8:30-1:00pm



Elementary Students (Grades K-5)

Elementary students need to return their Chromebooks and iPads (with the power cord and stylus on the newer Chromebooks) to Tumwater at the end of the school year. Students who are in summer school can keep their device for summer school.



Secondary students (Grades 6-12)

All students grade 6-11 who will be attending a BSD school in the fall should keep their device for the summer unless they prefer to turn it in.


Any students not returning to BSD in the fall need to turn in their Chromebook (with stylus and power cord) to Tumwater at the end of the school year unless they are attending summer school. Summer school students will return their devices at the end of summer school.


Seniors will need to turn in their Chromebook (with the power cord and stylus) to Tumwater as soon as they finish school unless they’re in summer school. Summer school students will return their devices at the end of summer school.



All students

Damaged Devices

Any student whose device is damaged should send an email ASAP to:

flex-online-school@beaverton.k12.or.us Please include the following information:

  • Name
  • Contact information (phone number)
  • Student ID
  • Description of the issue (missing keys, cracked screen, audio not working etc.)


Hot Spots

Any family using a district issued hot spot will need to return the hotspot to Tumwater as soon as the school year ends.
