West Nile Virus
West Nile Virus is usually referred to as WNV. This virus has been around since 1937. The WNV has spread into so many places, almost all over the world. 2012 was the worst of it. In 2012 the United States had one of the worst experiences. That year was the deadliest year on record with 286 people dead. The WNV is spread by mosquitoes and it has been found in ticks. Almost 80% of WNV in humans cause no symptoms. Currently no vaccination and no vaccine is on record to clear or prevent WNV. Most people that get WNV are asymptomatic ( showing no symptoms ). If you do get the symptoms they are fever, head aces, body aces, and a couple more.
West Nile Virus
This is the WNV.
West Nile Virus
This picture is of the WNV being passed on. A mosquito is a carrier, and a prime vector.
Fight The Bite.
Fight The Bite is a catchy slogan for the WNV. Fight The Bite the mosquito passes on .
Pandemic or Epidemic?
A pandemic is an outbreak of such a disease; Prevalent over a whole country or world. An epidemic is a wide spread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at a particular disease. WNV is an epidemic because it was a wide spread infectious disease in a community.
What is the picture below?
The picture is an epidemic. I picked the epidemic because the West Nile Virus is an epidemic. The picture above is explaining an epidemic by the way the people are positioned. An epidemic is a wide spread infectious disease that breaks out in a community. Below in the picture many of the people are probably fighting for their life or taking their last breath. The guys on the bed, yeah their probably taking their last breath. What about the guys on the ground? Probably fighting for their life, or trying to help others that's fighting for their life's.
Virus Poem
Viruses
They can be deadly,
They cant be sweet,
But when you sick they aint no joke,
Viruses can be prevented by getting that needle
Stuck down deep in your arm,
Some of them you cant get rid of..
Guess you'll just have to live..
