President's Update
Good Morning!
I hope everyone is enjoying the last few days of preparation before Winter Break. Friday is the last day of classes until Tuesday, January 2, 2018 when school resumes. Likewise, this newsletter is the last edition for 2017 (the next edition will go out on Tuesday, January 2nd).
Thank you to everyone who donated money during the Winter Concert Series Bake Sale last week. Thank you also to Lori Brandenburg and all of the Bake Sale volunteers and those who donated Bake Sale goodies. It truly is one of the sweetest McKinley fundraisers!
As you look at the January calendar for McKinley, you will see that Math Night is the next family event on the schedule for Friday, January 5th. Please note that the date for this event has changed. Math Night will take place on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018. I am excited to welcome Dave Wurzburger as the new Chair of this event. Dave has some exciting new additions to this year's event that you won't want to miss! Be sure to keep an eye out for more event details in the PTO Newsletter soon.
I hope that this Holiday Season brings everyone joy as you celebrate your family traditions.
Happy Holidays!

McKinley Giving Tree
McKinley has set up a Giving Tree in the library. We are looking to decorate it with donated gloves to keep the hands of Tosa kids warm this winter. Water-proof gloves are needed most. Please consider a donation/decoration to our McKinley Giving Tree located in the library. All donations will be used within our school communities to help those children in need this winter. Thank you for all you do for all our children!
Lost & Found
I know many of us will be in the school this week for holiday parties or just helping out in the class. Please don't forget to check out the lost and found to see if anything looks familiar! The lost and found rack is located in the hallway between the gym and the cafeteria. On December 22, the remaining items will be collected, washed, and eventually donated. If your kiddo is missing something, please have them come take a look or check it out yourself!
