Principal's message

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Cardboard kid campaign to raise awareness for abused and neglected children in our area. This is an appropriate time to consider the fact that some of our children fall into these categories. We remember this not to take pity on them or lower our expectations. We remember this to emphasize the importance of the lessons we teach everyday, The math, reading, and writing lessons are important. However the lessons of hard work, joy in struggle, respect, grit ,and compassion are critical. We demonstrate these lessons with every interaction, every decision, and every word. The battle to reach success will likely be difficult for many of our students. We must remember this and arm them with the solid shields to defend themselves against difficulties, sharp weapons to attack challenges with confidence, and a history of victories to bolster courage in the storm . This time of year is critical for At-Risk students. We need to pack15 weeks of intense learning into the next 8 weeks of classes...Whatever it takes!
