Principal's Message

Hello Stetson Families,

Happy Friday! We survived our PSSA testing and enjoyed our many end-of-the-year activities this week. The students did a great job working through the testing each day. We are so proud of them! As our school year comes to a close I want to extend a special thanks for your support in navigating through the many changes that the 20-21 school year brought.

Our goal at Stetson is to continue using transparent communication about upcoming activities and guidelines. Our end-of-the-year awards ceremonies will be virtual and students will view (both live--8th grade and recorded--6th/7th grade) from their advisory classrooms. We continue to have a no guests policy during school hours so our families will have to enjoy virtually from their homes. We will communicate all video links at the conclusion of the ceremony for families to enjoy and view at their convenience.

Please take a moment to read through the detailed End of the Year schedules for each grade level:

6th Grade End Of The Year Schedule

7th Grade End Of The Year Schedule

8th Grade End Of The Year Schedule

Next week, we have three half-days scheduled for June 9th, 10th, and 11th. The weather prediction for these days looks like we will be experiencing some very hot days. Each grade will have a field day on one of these half days. All students should dress appropriately and bring a personal refillable water bottle to school. They can fill up their personal water bottles at any of our five stations throughout our school. We will not be providing additional water bottles at this time.

This is my final newsletter for the school year. I hope all of you have a safe, happy, and fun summer. I will continue to communicate over the summer with any necessary school-related items. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Thanks for your time and attention in reading this week's edition!

Have a great weekend,

Mrs. Puchalla

Laptop Return--8th Graders

Your student will keep their district-issued laptop over the summer. They will receive a replacement laptop at Rustin High School.

If your child is planning on attending another high school other than Rustin for the 21-22 school year, the student will need to return their laptop to WCASD. Please see the main office for details.

Textbook Return--PARENTS WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP ON THIS ONE

Please take time to look around the house for textbooks. We are still missing some from last year when the pandemic started in March. If your child is an in-person learner, they can return their books any day directly to their teacher. If your child is cyber or remote, please come to drop off all materials on June 8th. We will have tables set up in the atrium by subject. Please make sure your child labels the textbook with their name, grade level and teacher's name.
