NIC stands for 'Network Interface card'. This card makes the connection between the computer and the network cable.

AGP Slot stands for 'Accelerated Graphics Port'. It is a high-speed point-to-point channel for attaching a video card to a computer system (3D computer graphics)

PCI Slot stands for 'Peripheral Component Interconnect'. It is a hardware bus designed by Intel and used in both PCs and Macs. PCI slots are found in the back of computer. They are about 3.5'' long and about 0.5'' high.

PCI-E Slot Stands for 'Peripheral Component Interconnect Express'. It is a serial expansion bus standard for connecting a computer to one or more peripheral devices.

CMOS battery

CMOS battery stands for 'Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor'. It is the motherboard's battery.


SATA Port stands for 'Serial AT Attachment'. It is a computer bus interface that connects host bus adapters to hard disk drives and optical drives.

IDE Connector

IDE Connector stands for 'Integrated Drive Electronics'. It is a standard electronic interface used between a computer motherboard's data paths or bus and the computer's disk storage devices.
