Critical Language Scholarship - U.S. Deptartment of State
The Geology Department is Celebrating 100 Years of Women
On Thursday, October 18 from 3:30-5:50pm in ISC 1221, the department will host a research symposium featuring talks by geo alums, ranging from restoration of the Florida Everglades, to the radioactivity of fracking wastes, to the recent volcanic eruption in Hawaii. Ellen Stofan, the first female Chief Scientist of NASA, will talk about her research in planetary geology and her work as Director of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. The symposium will finish with a reception in McGl 230 from 6-7pm. Please see the attached poster for more details.
