Hello CHES families,
We have had an incredible two weeks! We were successful and achieved beyond our goal for Raise Craze! $46,000... Woohoo!!! We also completed 3,500 Acts of Kindness. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
We celebrated becoming a Lighthouse school! We danced at a glow party for each grade level, and had Cosby Jazz Band come and play for us. Below is a Lighthouse video that we wanted to share with you. There are also pictures below from our events.

Reminders ๐
- If you would like to have lunch with your child, we ask that you please sign up for a lunch slot on the sign up genius. If there are no slots available, please choose a different date where there is availability. We have added more slots to the SignUpGenius. Feel free to share the Sign up Genius with any grandparents that would like to visit as well. They too need to sign up for a lunch time slot and they may be unaware. Please note: there is a maximum of 2 visitors per child. Please only use ONE sign up slot per child. You will be asked how many visitors will be joining.
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F094CAFAD2AAAFA7-ches Please make sure when you visit your student for lunch that you are only going to the cafeteria and waiting on the benches outside the cafeteria. For safety reasons, parents are not able to go elsewhere.
Library ๐
LIBRARY
Please remind your students to not have water bottles and drinks in their backpack. Carry drinks or put them in an outside pocket away from library books. We are noticing a rise in wet books being returned. If this occurs, a notice will come home to remit full payment for the damaged book. We order reinforced books for the library through a special vendor, so please do not go out and purchase a replacement as kind hearted of a thought that is to try and help us.
Itโs pumpkin time in the library! We will be holding a pumpkin drawing with each grade level for students to guess the weight in pounds. Each grade level has a pumpkin in the library! This week and next week students who want to, will have the opportunity to guess the weight of their grade level pumpkin. On announcements sometime the week of October 17th we will announce grade level winners. They will get to keep the pumpkin if they win!

๐ข NEW INFORMATION & REMINDERS:
- If you are dropping your student off in the mornings, please know that 2 orange cones will be placed in the driveway around 7:42 or 7:43 when there is a break in traffic so that we can get students to class by 7:45 when the tardy bell rings. We ask that you DO NOT drive through the cones for the safety of your child and others. If the cones are up, please drive around the front loop and park. You must walk your child into the building to receive a tardy slip. We also ask that you remain in your vehicle to allow for the line to continue to run smoothly.
